So I’m on 7.1.1 on my (A1429 Verizon) iPhone 5. I jailbroke it with Pangu a few months ago.

What would I need to do to go up to 7.1.2 and maintain my jailbreak?

And what about iTunes trying to force me to take iOS 8? I do not want iOS 8 at this point in time. I have privacy tweaks I’m not willing to give up.

I ran tiny umbrella and got the shsh for 7.1.2 but not 7.1.1

I have no intentions of going to iOS 8 until it’s got an untethered JB.

I backed up my phone but I’m afraid to screw up everything that’s on it, I don’t want to lose texts, emails, photos, apps, tweaks etc..

When I went from 6 to 7 I had to wipe the phone out and start over like it was new. I don’t want to go through that again just to go up from 7.1.1 to 7.1.2

Is there a guide to doing this? Or is it too late now? Am I stuck at 7.1.1 ?
It is jailbroken and I have the SHSH for 7.1.2 saved. I understand that if I go to 7.1.2 that I can’t go back to 7.1.1 I just don’t know how to do it with Apple pushing 8.0 through iTunes now.

Thanks.

I just restore my iPhone to 7.1.2
You'll need the iOS 7.1.2 IPSW
DFU->Shift Click (control click) on Restore iPhone-> select IPSW.
