If something were to happen to the Mac, how would I access:
1. Passwords
2. Bookmarks
3. Reading List

I have googled this, but I'm going round in circles with conflicting and too complicated suggestions.

I have iCloud set up (I think), but do I have to set up anything specific in order to save the above?
(I'm clearly not that Mac savvy)
Many thanks!

Using:
Catalina
Safari

Use the browser, Luke! (assuming you meant "how do I access this data without my Mac")

When you replace/repair your Mac, then you would just log-in to your iCloud account, and the data will be restored locally.

As to your second question, there are fairly fine-grain settings in both MacOS and iOS as to what data is saved to iCloud. Make sure you have selected what you want to save.

Apple -> System Preferences -> iCloud

Thank you, jtara!
I've never actually gone to the iCloud page before, but it looks great.
I can't see any mention of Bookmarks or Reading List, though...

Once you sign into (iCloud) your new Mac the Bookmarks/Reading List will be updated in Safari. You can also sign into Chrome and your Bookmarks will be updated as well. As mentioned above, ensure you have NOT accidentally turned these share features off.

Thank you, 960, much appreciated :)
