Below is a clip art border or perhaps a frame. I wish I knew how to resize it to make it smaller, so perhaps someone could even offer a suggestion on doing that. But what I want to do is learn how to take a clip art border, such as this, and use it in Pages to frame a page, be it for a letter, or an email, or in Messages. I have searched high and low in Apple Help, YouTube and the internet, have not found (or perhaps not recognized) instructions on how to do this. Perhaps I am using the wrong terminology in my search - border, frame, whatever. I can find all sorts of instructions on how to border a document with lines - thin, thick, dashed, fuzzy, etc - but nothing on something like below. My goal is to either create the frame, then type within it, or to type a document then add the frame around the outside of it. I guess another way of looking at it is to create a special stationery. Thanks for the help!

I don't know it this is what you're looking for.... but the Mac App Store has an app that provides Stationary Templates for Pages. Take a look and see if it meets your needs.

There are a couple of ways you can do this:

Click File > Convert to Page Layout > Format on the righthand side > Select Background and Choose image fill.

Or drag the border into pages as the image and adjust it to where you want > Format on the righthand side > Arrange > Stay on Page > Click Lock to stop accidentally moving it.

Then use text boxes to position your text and you should be good to go.

Have you used this? The first critique says there is no written instructions and the contact page is not in English. I'd likely be in trouble!

Got second one to work sort-of. No luck yet on first. Will probably have some questions. Almost looks like your instructions are for a different version of Pages than I have. But think #2 will be a winner! Thanks!

Let me know if you have any questions, I’m using the latest version of Pages.

Spent a little more time on #2 this morning, and found all the steps you mentioned! As to "drag the border into pages as the image", I put the image on the Desktop, then just pulled it to the New Document that I created in Pages. Is that what you meant to do?

Yep, that’s exactly what I meant - all working well?
