iPod How to add subtitles?

I have ripped my DVD into a MKV file, this file has multiple subtitle tracks and I was wondering if it's possible to use handbrake to keep them in when I convert it into an iPod ready format. I'm also wondering if it's possible to switch through the subtitles in iTunes the way you can with different audio tracks.
