Dark theme, it's a bit meh. I find it too dark, especially when looking for "highlights". For example doing a <cmd><tab> there's sod all difference between a selected application and all the others. (It's a bit bleeding obvious why... it's dark -- looks out of the window, yes -- so the display's brightness is tweaked back (automatically as it happens) -- and thus the dark grey highlights look like the black background).

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to tweak this to have a decent "highlight" colour.

Please let us know the spell to caste. (ooh, a colour pun)

Not seen that there's any options to change this, hence asking the question.

Can only speak for myself, but I do find the dark scheme too dark and would like to tweak certain aspects (in the same way as I tweak BBEdit's colour schemes), so increasing the 'grey' selected colour for example.

Are there any tools for adjusting the colour scheme on OSX?
Not since the Tiger days.
Try turning on increased contrast. I have no issue seeing the highlight around the app switcher, even with MacRumours in the background—and I'm blinder than a bat without glasses.

It's a personal thing, but I find the dark theme just too dark and struggle to read when using it. I do get it for some applications, but the mail application isn't so good -- especially with 'formatted' emails insisting on white backgrounds, etc.
