There is a new feature on MacOS Ventura when new USB and Thunderbolt accessories require user approval before the accessory can communicate with macOS for connections wired directly to the USB-C port. On GUI we can change the setting on System Settings>Security & Privacy>Security. However, we have a OS deployment workflow which using USB-C ethernet adapter for network connection. This change make my USB ethernet adaptor does not work after Ventura installed. I need to write a custom script which can use it on the workflow. Does anyone know the command in CLI/Script for alway allow any USB-C accessories?

Thanks.

Best Regards,
Ray

“Bypassing user authorization might be required for some environments. MDM solutions can control this behavior by using the existing allowUSBRestrictedMode restriction to always allow Thunderbolt and USB accessories.”

“allowUSBRestrictedMode
If false, allows the device to always connect to USB accessories while locked. On macOS, allows new USB accessories to connect without authorization.
