How do I archive email in mail.app and entourage?

I know MS Outlook has an "Archive" fearture, which I found useful for archiving old mail I still would like to keep, but not necessarily see in the mail client.

thwy way I have done it is by creating a new mailbox under "on my mac". Just specify a folder name and put in under "on my mac". After that I drag files from my active accounts to the mailbox on my hardrive. This folder will store your emails I believe, I am still unable to find their hardcopies.... hope this starts you off....

nm, they exist on your hd under your /user/library/mail/mailboxes, then you click on the mailbox icon and all your archived emails are brought up in mail

Also, at apple.com/applescript there is supposed to be an Applescript to archive emails into a folder, I haven't looked into it yet, if someone does it please give us a little review.
