I never used iCloud for images, only Google Photos, which will not be free anymore soon. I need to store all photos directly into iCloud when I take a picture, or at least to automatically delete them from local iPhone X iOS 14.5 storage and move them to iCloud. Can you please let me know what is the recommended procedure?

Thank you for your help.

Turn on iCloud photos and select ‘optimise iPhone storage’.

Will that remove all images stored into iPhone, since they are already saved into iCloud?
