I get virus emails from Windows users. I automatically recognize them as viruses by the subject line alone, so I don't open them on the iPhone where they appear in list view. But on the iPad, if viewing email in landscape, the mail is automatically opened in the right side panel, yes?

I was never concerned until tonight when I was informed that my Yahoo web mail account had been hacked. It may be unrelated, but I am concerned. That Yahoo account is for junk mail, but my Mobile Me account is my main one. If that gets hacked, emails will be sent to very important people.

How can I avoid an email even opening in preview mode on the iPad in Mobile Me, and just delete it immediately upon receipt? Is that possible?

If you touch the message in list view until it is highlighted and then drag, a delete button appears, and the message contents are not displayed.

So you think landscape mode might cause your mobile me account to get hacked on your iOS device by a windows virus that you can tell by the subject magically installs itself just by viewing the email?

Am I keeping up?
