... That doesn't involve 'tricking' the AI. I just started playing this game due to the free MacHeist, and it is now formally lodged in my frontal lobe. Got through to the 'Impossible' level without a problem, but haven't gotten past the 42nd wave on Impossible.

The orcs are in my dreams, how do I defeat their damn hordes?!?!

I think strategy with tower defense games are to figure out how to build a maze so the trolls will be funneled through as many towers as possible

Which game? I beat them all except Pachinko. For Pachinko I had to Google a little help to beat Impossible

A great game—the one that got me to finally give Tower Defense a chance.

As far as “tricking” the AI, do you mean blocking them off so they have to walk back the way they came? That’s just fair game! Wasting their time in that way was key to me beating the tougher levels of Open and Crossroads modes.

Yes, it's the Crossroads map I am having the most difficulty on. There's just so damn many of them and eventually some of them make it through before I have time to react....

you don't have to sell buildings or block them off to make them turn around. If you do the latter it's so easy I don't even see the point. You can beat impossible with bait without doing either of the above.

BTW, thanks for the help. Beat Crossroads on Impossible with no sells. See attached screen shots if you're interested!
