Just thinking ahead here. iOS 14.7 has finally fixed literally every problem I’ve had, some of which have existed for years. And in a few short months my phone will be bothering me to update to iOS 15 and it’ll all start over again.

A while ago iOS updates could be blocked by installing a tvOS profile. Does a trick like that still work?

I fully intend to put iOS 15 on my iPad, but I want my phone on 14.7 for as long as I can stand.

What is with update reminders when stay on 14.7 red dot notification? Will these popup?

That’s what I want to know. Doesn’t it still bug you with a badge and a pop up? Even if disabled?

My understanding is automatic update controls install. As far as I recall, the update will still auto download and have the notification present

Suck. Also I read the beta profile blocking trick no longer works. Can anyone confirm?

Or what if I were to install the iOS 14 beta profile? Would that block 15?

It doesn’t- at least not on iPadOS 14. I have to actively check wether there is an update available and then -again actively - select to install it.
