For some reasons, I don't want to update to iOS 13.3.1 (I'm on 13.2.3) and so far, tvOS 12 beta profile worked to prevent pop ups to update OTA but now it seems this profile is no longer valid and it seems tvOS 13 can no longer be installed on newer devices so, is there another way to prevent OTA updates and pop ups?

Thanks.

Is the DNSCloak method (from thread 1) trustworthy? It works, but when I started the DNS server I got a warning from iOS telling that running a VPN could cause my DNS queries to be monitored. So, is DNSCloak trustworthy?

Sorry, got no idea. All I can say is that editable backups in iMazing (thread 2) do allow you to edit files in backups (used it to crack Fallout Shelter some time ago), but that's all.

I'm using the DNS cloak method and it works great.

I don't think it would work without monitoring your queries. It's blocking Apple's checks to see if your phone is up to date or blocking your request to update. I'm not worried about it, the lack of constant update pop ups and the red notification badge on the settings icon is worth it to me.

I'm also using it, and it works, but I'd like to have a bit more of knowledge about how the DNSCloak app works (ie: is the risk of monitoring related to the app, to its own servers, or to the DNS server you pick from the list? ...and what kind of security/privacy leak could be caused?).

Also, I'm feeling like my DNS queries are slower since I installed it... I've no idea if it's true or just my feeling, and if it could be related to what server I picked from the list...

All good questions and I really am not sure what the answer is. I haven't noticed any difference in performance but having more information is never a bad thing. I have iMazing but didn't want to go through everything involved with setting it up the way the Reddit post described. The DNS cloak method was much easier and it has worked well since I started using it. If you get more info that shows it isn't secure or other reasons it might not be a great choice post it here by all means. I haven't followed the Reddit threads to see if anybody has voiced any concerns or offered any better ideas so I'm going to continue using it until a better solution is found. I really miss being able to use TVOS beta to block update queries that's for sure..
