Hello

Can anyone let me know if this can be done and if so, how?

I mean to block an UNKNOWN call; not a non-recognised number, but a call that comes up labelled UNKNOWN?

I've recently moved over to EE here in the UK and have 2 brand new numbers; one personal and one business, I've unfortunately already had a company called Lowell Debt Collectors contact me on my business number chasing someone called Keith ***** for a debt (this is not me FYI), so I'm annoyed at that as I don't give my business number out to anyone bar clients I deal with etc.

I can obviously block anyone in my contacts list, but it seems I can't do this for an UNKNOWN number

On Android, this was very easy and straightforward, via the handset settings or a call blocker app; the apps on the App Store offer call blocking, but nowhere does it say you can block UNKNOWN calls!

Frustrating!

I had also problems with unknown caller ID and it helped me to do this:

1. If someone calls you and you see the call marked "Unknown Caller ID" in the list of recent calls, tap "i" next to it and then press and hold finger on "Unknown Caller ID" and afterwards select Copy. Then Go to Settings and find Blocking there and create new entry and just paste it there
2. Try to also create new entry in Blocking settings and type 00 00000000 (total of 10 zeroes).

I don't know whether this works 100% but after I added it I had no more Unknown Caller ID calls on my iPhone 7.

Cheers; I'll try that :)
