How to Boot a new SSD

Hi
I just cloned with carbon copy cloner, my HDD to a SSD,.
How do I make the new SSD disk the bootable disk???
I tried tho take out the HDD boot disk to see if it would automaticly use the SSD as the boot drive, but i got a white screen.
Can anybody guide me?

Hold alt key while booting. When in OS X, go to System Preferences -> Startup Disk

Have you tried holding down the Option/Alt key right after turning on the MP? And if the HDD is still connected and boot from the HDD, can you see the SSD in System Preferences > Startup Disk?
