How to Build a Hackintosh

I am looking at building a Hackintosh for my Games and the fact that I have a very fast Windows Gaming Rig that runs Vista and I am sick of Windows.

Question is how do you get everything working, and where to you get the software in which to load the System in the first place.

I am a Hackintosh Noob but very technical as I manage a WAN/LAN at work.

I thought there were specific directions for building this kind of system, besides the fact of which components will work?
