iPhone How to change app icon?

Sure it sounds simple enough, and it is simple enough (on my android phone....)... but after two days, I still can't seem to find any info on how to easily change an app icon on the iPhone. (Folder icon? No problem! There's an app for that!). So surely there has to be a simple way to do this right on the phone, without SSHing into arcane directories via a computer and swapping bitmaps etc? I simply want to change the icon of an app. And I want to select the new icon from my winterboard icon theme, so that all icons are consistent with the theme I have installed.

Tried "Icon Harvester", it doesn't do that.

It's really not that hard to go to the app directory and replace the icon@2x.png file to change the app icon

So they say.... I've tried iFunbox, iExplorer, iTools... I located the icon@2x.png file for the app I want to change. I can export that icon but it has no option to import anything. So although I downloaded the icon I want to use, "paste" doesn't do anything in these programs. How do I swap icons?

My typical way of changing icons is to have my new icon file on Dropbox and then use iFile on the phone to cut/copy and paste it in.

Try this Cydia app... ThemeIconMaker

It's located on BigBoss repo (repo pre-installed with Cydia). Automatically changes icons (especially cydia apps) to match your theme. Simply open ThemeIconMaker, select your theme, add the icons which it found aren't themed already, and respring. Of all the cydia apps I have downloaded, there was only 1 icon which it couldn't change to match my theme.

Using ifunbox, right click and you can choose the file(s) you want to transfer over (forgot what the selection name is)

No, that doesn't do it. I have that app already. All it does is match any unmatched icons to your theme (if you're lucky). It will not allow you to pick a specific app and apply a desired icon to it.

Ok, well I finally managed to figure out how to do this with iFunbox. Its (relatively) easy enough if you know how! I think it didn't work the first time because I was in the wrong screen/menu. But this time right clicking allowed me to both "copy to Mac" "copy from Mac" (whereas I could only export before, and not import). Still, since it is just replacing a .png file on the phone with another (that is also on the phone), it does not seem impossible to create an app that would do this on the phone! With the thousands of tweaks Cydia has, I'm at a loss to understand why no one's written an app yet for such a basic task as this.

Winterboard does kind of mimic this
