I had to recover a bunch of music files from my iPod classic. On a Mac the files are "hidden" so I had to make them visible to be able to copy them over to my computer.

Now that they are residing on my computer I do not want them hidden any longer. How can I make all of them visible all of the time without the computer always displaying hidden files. I just don't want them hidden.

I've seen a lot of tutorials on how to HIDE/UNHIDE files but I can't seem to grasp or see how this keeps my music files unhidden permanently.

Please be as specific as possible as I don't know TERMINAL at all.

Open Terminal, copy-paste
Code:
chflags -R nohidden
drag&drop the folder with the files and press Return.

connect your device to a computer then open the properties of the hidden file and mark tick on the read-only and remove the check from hidden.
