hi, can someone tell me how to change the colors of the text bubbles? I'm getting tired of the green and blue colors and I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks!

You can't change the colors of the messages app.

Green: regular SMS message
Blue: iMessage

Surely in 2016 the technology exists to change colors. What would be the harm? Let's get some color in our lives.

I understand what blue and green means. But we should be able to set those colors. iMessage =orange, text=red or something.

Then the meaning of those colors wouldn't carry over and be different in different devices for different people, which isn't the standard that Apple is trying to have where the colors are known quantities with known meanings no matter what device someone might use or anything like that. Again, basically back to the point that the colors aren't for prettiness or fun, but for attached to a particular meaning in the context that Apple is using them.
