How To Charge MBP 13 (mid 2014) w/ 12 Volt DC?

I have a Macbook Pro 13 (mid 2014, A1502, Retina) that I would like to charge with 12 volts DC. I also have an Ecoflow Delta 1300 "solar generator" that has a couple USB C ports (65V DC, 9V DC, 15V DC, 20V DC, 3A, 60W Max, per port).

On Amazon there are cables with the magnetic connector for the mac on one end and a male USB C on the other end, like this one: https://amz.run/6ufr

Anyone used something like that to charge a 2014 Macbook Pro 13?

The one, surefire way for 12V charging with MBP models equipped with MagSafe adapters would entail a purpose-designed 12V adapter (with a built-in transformer) — namely, to use the car-charge port on your Ecoflow. (Someone should be able to verify this, but I think the first Macs to allow charging via USB-C was the 2015 MacBook).

Something like this ought to work:

I have used similar car-charger 12V-to-Mac adapters in the past, and they do work, but you should also expect some ground noise if you’re using, say, a wired headphone whilst listening to audio.

Buy a USB C to Magsafe 2 cable from Amazon. I have used them with my MBP 13 2015. No problem at all.

Hopefully the usb c to MagSafe 2 cable I just ordered will do the job. If it doesn’t then I’ll have to spend more $ and buy one like the one you suggested. Thank you.

Problem with adapters with high wattage in car can cause damage to the electronic/electrical parts. I had a 35W USB adapter in my Volvo which burned its fuse every two or three weeks. Same adapter didn't make any trouble to my Dad's 10 year old Honda. If you have Magsafe 2 and a USB-C charging port, this cable would work.
