My 4 month old iMac (20" Duo Core) has been feeling a bit down just of late.

There's this new iMac around - said to be faster and a rumor he's got this even bigger brother too!

How can I cheer up my 'old' iMac - what can I buy it to make it feel happy again?

Feed him sugar? What are you talking about? Send him to me, I'll make him happy.

Every iMac loves more RAM. :) And if you cant take good care of him, the iMac Protection Agency will come to your house and take him away.

Well, you're still running the one of the latest generations of computers on the market. Look at all the people running G5's and G4's (and even G3's). You can run Windows full speed. Most people are still putting up with virtual PC. It might be frustrating to see newer products come out, but yours is probably much faster than the majority.

striaght up get him soommme bliiinggg yo

Well you could always max out that baby to 2GB to get a lot of speed. That's about it. Unless you want to upgrade the hard drive to get more storage space, that's really all you can do aside from buying new peripherals. As was mentioned before, your Mac is still an excellent machine and just because a new one is out doesn't make yours unusable.

Give your computer a big hug :D Seriously he shouldn't be upset that he has a bigger brother now. He's still as strong as he used to be!

Spit on it and tell it you are putting it on eBay and getting the 24" one.
