Hey thanks on the terminal guys i got it to work now im trying to do the CHMOD 755 thing for the GBA emulator. I downloaded Pokemon fire red and i was told to type chmod 755 /var/root/Media/ROMs/GBA/*

*=game file name

Ok i dont know what do type for the game file name ive tried
/Pokemon - Fire Red
/PokemonFireRed
/Pokemon-Fire Red
and other stuff

can anyone tell me what to do?

i came here looking for advice on how to further use the chmod function, but i have had experience with exactly what you are trying to do. when you were told to write chmod 755 /var/root/Media/ROMs/GBA/* that is exactly what you write. the * tells terminal that you want to apply the chmod 755 to all the contents of the specified folder. so no need to write the names of the roms individually.
if you have typed it write and in correct case(takes me at least five goes cos backspace acts as spacebar on my terminal) then terminal will just drop to next line, anything else is not good.

you will need to run the command every time you install roms or until someone fixes the issue. it
workes for me
i recomend the sega packs for gba, always prefered sega games myself, and they run well
good luck

in 1.1.3 some files will not run unless you change the permissions.
i installed mobilefinder, its a sweet app, but i see no way of changing the permissions, please advise as an app like this would make life a lot easier
