Hi all,
I'm thinking of writing children's books. My wish list:-

* I'm after a writing app that can save to .doc so I have flexibility in moving to other software if I become dissatisfied with this one.

* I'd like a great Thesaurus and Dictionary.

* I'd also like to be able to store images.

* And, if possible, I'd LOVE a drop and drag wiki / database for a fantasy world's encyclopaedia. When creating alternative worlds, it is very useful to have interactive wiki's that let you easily change a main character or place or item's name, and it automatically changes all the sub-wiki's for you.

If everything works out I'll be getting my first iPad in a month or so and will be keen to start then.

Cheers all!

In the MacBook Air forum, see the thread: Hey writers ... What do you use?

Discussion there about writing apps being used on macs and iPads.

These are popular for iPad ...IA Writer, Pages, Quickoffice.

If you will be using iPad with a mac you can move files between the two with Dropbox or via iCloud, and there are apps which let you print iPad files via a mac.

Thanks, I'll move my queries over there and consider this thread closed.
