how to choose "save" settings on iPad Pro

I tried to save some photos which were posted on F/B. Where do I go to change the settings so they go directly to Photos app?
Several times they just "disappeared" and now I can't find them.

I'm pretty sure it defaults to the Photos app. Make sure you look in Albums - All Photos. The photo you're looking for should be the last one, or the first one you see. If you just look in Photos, the photo in question will appear in chronological order according to when it was taken. That may be weeks or years earlier. This happened to me before I figured it out.
