evertime I recharge my phone on my imac it seems to dup some photos result I have wwwwaaaayyyy to many photos with no easy simply quick and free way to clean up that I can readily find....thanks all

Sounds like it's importing photos that are already there... if you're using iCloud Photos (which I would recommend) turn off importing when you plug the phone in.
As far as eliminating the duplicates that are already there... Photos does have a duplicate checker in macOS Ventura. If you can upgrade, this shows how to use it. Otherwise.... godspeed, you have a task ahead of you 😬
