I recently installed an SSD on a mid-2010 Mac Pro and divided it into El Capitan and Snow Leopard partitions. Fonts suddenly began to display improperly or not at all on the El Capitan partition after uninstalling FontAgent 8, which is a disappointing successor to FontAgent Pro 4.

In the past, MacHelp Mate was my utility of choice to resolve this kind of problem, but it does not seem to be available from the developer, and none of the instructions for manual cache cleaning seem to apply to El Capitan. Disk Utility is as always quite useless.

Is there a way to fix the font-rendering problem until I find a satisfactory font manager? (I would buy a copy of FontAgent Pro 6 if it were available.)
