I just calculated that after making my last few purchases I will have exactly $1 left in my iTunes account. So not even enough to make a 99c purchase as taxes need to be added on top of that.

Is there any easy way to get rid of that $1? Maybe a small charity donation (every Dollar helps, right?) via iTunes unless they tax that too?

If you make a purchase that's over $1, it will deduct that remaining $1 from your balance, then bill your payment method for the rest, zeroing your balance.

So no worries; next time you buy pretty much anything from iTunes it'll be zero.

Many thanks for the reply, but as mentioned in the thread title, is there any way to spend/get rid of that $1 without resorting to the use of other payment options?

Any way to donate the $1 to charity for instance?

I don't think there is. Since you obviously don't need the $1 (you're willing to donate it) why not just wait until your next transaction? iTunes credit doesn't expire; it'll be there for the next time anything has to be paid for.

Or are you trying to close out an Apple ID you're no longer using? If that's the case I don't think there's a way.

The only other way would be if you some to gift them... but not that small.. min.: $15

I have $33 on my iTunes credit i never use, its just sitting there, bee there for about 7 months, as i don't buy too many thing from my AUS iTunes account.

It may come in handy one day..
