Resolved How to clear 'Other' memory on iPhone 4?

very frustrating with the iphone. I tried backing up several times, I tried using DiskAid to clear phantom data of pics and music.

Do I need to do a full restore with no back up?
and lose all my data on the apps?

I use nano studio for music and that's a BIG loss if I lose all the data

is there any way to get around this? I have like 2GB of other and my phone is only 8gb so that's a lot.
