Hello Dear community member,

I need guidance on the best possible ways to connect my 2 SD to my mac min and work laptop ( lenovo think pad ) and MB air M2

My current setup :

1)Connected my macbook to Studio display with thunderbolt USB C cable directly
2) Connected the current dell Led 27" monitor and all accessories to Lenovo thunderbolt display link docking station and connected the docking to Mac mini using HDMI .


Need support / advise:

Im looking for some guidance on the best way to connect the 2 SD to my macbook air and windows work laptop with out switching cables .

Im trying to avoid buying new accessories and try using the existing one

Below are the accessories i have

4 USB C thunderbolt
Lenovo thinkpad hybird usb-c with USB -A docking
2 HDMI cables
2 Display port Cables
1 USBC to USB A cable


Note: I also have a MB air whcih i connect to the SD time to time .

Please guide me on the best simplistic method to setup my display with out loosing the 4k resulition
 
You may need a Thunderbolt 3 KVM switch, because ASD is Thunderbolt 3. These are not cheap.

Agreed. Another option though obtuse, he could log into his Mac and remote the Thinkpad or visa versa. There are trade-offs of course
