Hey,

I have a Macbook M1 Air with Big Sur.

I have a StarTech.com 4-Port USB-C Hub with Power Adapter https://www.startech.com/en-us/cards-adapters/hb30c3a1cfb

I have connected my LogiLink UA0232 USB C to DVI adapter from my external display to my StarTech.com 4-Port USB-C Hub.

But when i turn on my external displays it simply displays no signal found and my Macbook M1 with Big Sur will not detect it.

Any advice on how to fix?

Hey, why do i need display link drivers?
You can’t simply connect a display to a USB port (actually it's a USB-A port) because USB-A doesn’t carry a video signal.

(USB-C can carry a video signal but your adapter isn’t using that.)

That's why you need a driver to make your adapter work. I was able to work out that your adapter is using a "Fresco Logic FL2000" USB-to-video chip. (Not DisplayLink!) macOS drivers for that FL2000 chip are here: https://support.frescologic.com/portal/en/kb/articles/fl2000-mac-driver-beta-release

However, I had a look at the readme file included with the latest driver for Big Sur. It says the driver does not work on M1 Macs. So, you're out of luck.

You should get a cheap USB-C dock that provides USB ports and a HDMI output for your monitor - a simple HDMI-to-DVI adapter or cable will connect that to your DVI monitor (unless it's a 2560×1440 or 2560×1600 monitor - in that case it's more complicated). The MacBook Air's USB-C port also carries a video signal in addition to USB signals, which is why a USB-C dock will work.
