How to connect with a MacBook Pro 2015

I have just bought an iPad Pro 2018 with usb c instead of lighting connector. I have a 2015 MacBook Pro with no usb c ports and two standard usb 3.0 ports.

What adapter would be suitable to connect them?

I would not like to harm my new iPad because of a cable of poor quality.

Definitely go for more expensive ones and make sure the cable is manufacturered by reputable companies. Ain’t nobody has the money to burn a new iPad Pro. Maybe Apple has their own as well. I am not sure.
