Hello,

I am a new iMac user and still trying to learn how to use the computer. I downloaded 200 photos to the computer today (and finally realized that the "Photos" folder is completely different from the Hard Drive... but how do you find the Hard Drive from the Launchpad without having to go to Finder???) and then went through it one by one to delete the bad ones. But every time, I had to click on the photo, then back out, click on the new photo, back out again, etc. How do I use just the right arrow key to view all photos at one time? I googled on the web how to view it by pressing Command A then the space bar... which worked, but then when I deleted the bad photo, I somehow deleted the entire folder. Then I had to put everything back from the trash can and start all over. Surely there is an easier way?

Thank you in advance and thank you for your patience with my stupid question

If you’re coming from a windows PC and are used to windows photo viewer then I have some good and bad news. BAD: Out of the box, macOS doesn’t work the same way. GOOD: You can select a bunch of files and then (right click) and open them with Preview or you can download one of the many photo viewing apps available. My wife has settled on Photo Kilter on her new iMac. She’s tried a few and this is the first one that does what she wants and doesn’t crash.

p.s. There are no stupid questions.

I think the fastest way to do this is to open the folder with the 200 photos and set it to list view (so all files are listed in a row). Click on the first one (just mark it) and then press the space bar. It will open in a preview window. You can now browse all the pictures by using the up or down arrows. If you want to delete one, just press cmd and backspace.
