How to control which app to use VPN? Is there an app that can control which traffic goes through VPN and which doesnt? thanks.

I don’t think it’s possible. What are you trying to achieve exactly? Maybe there is a workaround for it.

I would like to have my download program to go through vpn only but not anything else on the computer.

You could check with the provider of that program whether a solution exists. For instance, I found the following solution for Transmission.
