Hello all,

I have a jpg file that is 5146 x 1872 pixels. I'd like to reduce it to a maximum of 1920 x 1080 pixels. How can I do this on my Mac?

I mean, can I retain the view of the photo (without cropping it) and reduce the resolution? I guess this would involve merging pixels to reduce the pixel count while preserving the "content" or "view" if not the "information" (pixel and resolution information).

I can't figure out how to do it in Preview or Photos....

I figure this is a question for a photography web site but I thought I'd start here as Mac is the premier multimedia platform.
:)

Many thanks,

Ah, thank you, Weaselboy. That was easy. Embarrassing that I didn't look carefully enough at the Tools menu.
