iPad mini How to copy photos from iPad to PC

can i copy photos from ipad to pc with using iTunes?
will the original quality be kept if I don't use iTunes to do it (copy it from my computer's iPad device to other folders on PC)

i am using ipad mini 2
 
Yes. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 This is a very nice, illustrated article that includes instructions for every version of Windows going back to XP.

You'll see that in Windows iTunes isn't even necessary. Windows will recognize the iPad when you connect it to the computer, and will (or should) present options for transferring the photos.

In all cases, the photos will be imported at full resolution.

I know you can use Dropbox - just install the Dropbox app, it has options to transfer files from your Camera Roll. I'd imagine the others do as well.
 
Just plug in your iPad to your PC, and it will be recognized as an external device. Open the drive and you will be able to access the photos and videos stored on the iPad, and copy them to other folders if desired.

iTunes certainly isn't needed here.
 
Another vote for circumventing iTunes and just drag the photos from the DCIM folder of the iPad when connected to your PC (it shows up as a drive under My Computer).

And, a warning to those using any cloud service apps: some default to transferring a lower resolution copy of your photos. If you care about this, check for it. (OneDrive is one such service that does this.)
 
I don't know if this answers your question, but there is a free Windows Control Pannel that you can download from Apple. It allows you to load photos via Photostream, so when you take a pictures with you iPad or iPhone they, will automatically show up in you pictures folder on your PC.

I have never used it, so can't recommend it one way or the other.
 
Won't windows see an iOS device as a camera and you can just navigate into the DCIM folder and drag them out?

I don't have a windows box handy but I thought that still worked.

Yes, that's what several of us have suggested above, starting with ApfelKuchen, and more explicitly by Abazigal. It's the most straightforward way, and does not put you at risk for change in resolution.
 
Right now there is an application called AirBridge available for free. It lets you drag photos from your Mac to your iPad/iPhone/iPod and visa versa.

It works pretty well. :apple:
 
Just use Picasa. It imports pictures with their original quality to a folder of your choice.

It works. I use this and it works really well.
