Dear iMasters,

i am still kinda new to Mac OS and Mountain Lion.

I have a file, and i want to place a shortcut to it on my desktop.
So how do i copy the shortcut to a file in Mountain Lion?

Google search shows a bunch of info about copy/paste keyboard shortcuts, so i ask it here.

Thanks,
Paul

right click and select "Create alias" . This will create file shortcut in same folder.

Drag that shortcut to the desktop or where ever you want .

Drag the file while holding down <Command> and <alt>. You will see the pointer turn into an "alias" curvy arrow.
