How to copy videos from 1 iOS to another iOS device?

I am trying to figure out how to copy videos and pictures from 1 iOS device to another. The only way possible seems to be via email but that 1)takes a lot of finger clicking and 2)severely limits or rejects videos via email.

On a Windows XP box I've tried copying the files off the device onto the PC and that works just great...but I CANNOT copy them from the PC to an iOS device!

So...how can I solve this problem of copying pix/vids from 1 iOS device to another? Do I have to jailbreak either/both iOS devices?

I'm using and iPhone 4S, Touch (2nd to last gen), and iPad 1.

1)I have tried Googling around and found zippo answers.

2)I have tried the Dropbox App but it a)limits videos to 180MB which is 1.5 mins of video at medium quality, b)does not have any kind of "download" feature on the iOS app.

Yes...so think about it in simple terms: I have a household that has a bunch of iOS devices. I take a 3 min video of a birthday party on my iPhone and want to then "copy" it onto the iPad so it's a larger display to look at. I always want it copied so the person using the iPad doesn't have to worry about internet access (if we were to instead post to Youtube) or even general network problems. Lastly, given that all our iOS devices are 32GB and larger, there really should be no silly need for me to downgrade/down-convert my 400MB nice HD video some cruddy looking file 20MB file.

I am going to try copying the vids off the phone onto my PC...then put them in iTunes and sync my other devices. Might work...but I wonder if it will keep the original quality or convert. I'll post a reply soon.

presumably you don't want to have to sync with your computer first?

In reality that would be the simplest way.

There are video player Apps in the iOS App store (eg VLC) as well as the just file manager Apps (eg AirSharing) that support video playing, that toy can copy your videos into (the first via iTunes and the later you can just mount)

Right...I would prefer NOT to sync. Can you elaborate on solving my problem with AirSharing? I looked it up on App Store and it doesn't really state I can copy videos/pix from 1 iOS to another...and if it does, is it stored in AirShare or in the normal Camera Roll?

Can the 2nd to last gen touch even play 1080p video (which is what the 4S records at)? Also, have you tried the camera connection kit?

it's £1.99 on the UK app store, which is $2.99 on the US store i think.

says it can transfer full resolution videos between iOS devices that are on the same WiFi network, not sure if it has a file size limit though, and obviously you have to pay for it, but hey, if it suits your needs and works, why not?

WOW! Just wow! Thanks so much for letting me know about this app! It is fantastic! Not just in function but in ease of use and a GREAT UI!

Well worth the $3. I tried the Air Sharing and it has some limitations...great for other stuff but not so good for my use case.

I can't rave about Photo Transfer enough!

Have you tried PhotoSync app? I have it and can transfer between all my iOS devices (macbook pro, iPhone, and iPad) and it works great for $.99
