G'day,
I utilise smart playlists in Apple Music (previously iTunes) a lot, as I store all of my ripped music on my iPhone and do not use streaming.
The issue I've found since being forced from iTunes to Apple Music is that there is nowhere in the Apple Music interface to correct/update/reflect the original release year of a purchased track. This means that if I purchase a track from iTunes that was originally released in 2009, but the iTunes album the track has been purchased from was released in 2015, and favourite said track, it will not appear in my 2000's favourites playlist, but the 2010's playlist, which is not where it should be.
There are two column options being 'Year' and 'Release Date', however they reference the same year being the album release date, and this is particularly fraught when the track is from a greatest hits album which will obviously encompass a number of years, potentially crossing the bookends between decades.
Has anybody found a workaround for this?
