Update 2: There are still some remnants of certain apps and push notifications are still coming in, even after the app has been deleted!

Update: In case anyone else has a similar problem, simply empty the trash after "deleting" the app via launchpad and then all the remnants of the app will be fully uninstalled per Apple Support chat.

I've had my MBP 16/1tb since yesterday. Everything except chrome / chromium apps is working great. I've been playing around with some iOS apps and as we've seen in other places, the implementation is just "ok".

Anyway, I installed the iPhone app from our work VOIP provider. It didn't work and crashed, I had no expectations it would work and it's certainly not supported so I removed it from the applications folder, the same way I would any other app.

However, it's still "installed" because someone from work called me and even though the app isn't running, or even still in the applications folder, it rings and then crashes.

I also tried re-downloading it from the App Store, went to launch pad and long pressed to delete it that way. Same behavior.

So... how do you actually fully delete an iOS from AS Big Sur?

Re-uuping this any ideas?

tldr: installed gmail app, which is very buggy, via iMazing and I can't fully get rid of it (i.e. push notifications still come in without it being installed). Temporary work around was to leave it installed but turn off notifications.

You might also want to make sure that ~/Library/Containers and Groupcontainers has no remnants.
Thank you, this seemed to have worked! I guess there's a legit reason some iOS apps aren't available to download in the App Store.

I’ve used both CleanMyMacX and TrashMe3 to delete iOS installed apps, and they’ve removed all the other folders and files correctly.
