I've been using the custom shape tool in CS4 to draw horizontal arrows ( blue arrow below ). How can I alter the path freely so that the arrow can be in any direction I want ( black arrow ) ?

First image shows what I have, second image ( not mine ) shows how I want to curve it, but not just a generic curve.

Thank You

You could draw an arbitrary path with the pen tool and then stroke it. Maybe not exactly what you are looking for, but it should work.

You could try using the line shape tool. Click the dropdown arrow to specify whether there are arrow heads on one end of the line or both, draw your line, then add anchor points to it and bend it accordingly.

Hope that helps!

Thank you for your replies.

I decided to use a different style after all... It looks better but I've learnt something in the process anyway. I've also downloaded over 80 more arrow style which is great !
