How to create a panel with esp file

Hi all

I need to create a file for a panel containing a logo. I've been provided with the following requirements:

*Acceptable file formats are Illustrator (.AI, .EPS), Photoshop (.PSD, .TIF), InDesign (.INDD) or Acrobat (.PDF)
* Files should be created actual size with a minimum resolution of 100 dpi
* If submitting a vector file (such as .eps or .ai) please convert all fonts to outlines or paths
* Size is 28-1/4" wide and 22-3/4" high

I have the logo as an esp, pdf and tif file but don't know how to specify the size and save the file as that size or how to check the dpi? What kind of program to I need to be able to do this - I've heard of Inkscape? Would that work, is that a good one?

Do you now if your logo is Rasta or Vector....if its vector it can go to any size. If it is Rasta you will need to have a High Res version. It sounds like you are struggling with the very basics....so i would get a friend to help you or someone on this board who is feeling kind.

To the OP, this would be done ideally in Illustrator but Photoshop would work too. In PS you'll set up your file at the correct overall size at 100dpi and paste your EPS logo in from Illustrator or open the TIF in Photoshop and copy/paste. In Illustrator you'll just create a file at the correct dimensions, open the EPS logo and copy/paste into your new file.

I'm not familiar with Inkscape so can't help there.

Esp ... rasta ...

The typos in this thread are quite entertaining.

One thing to consider ... the vendor deals with submitted files of every sort and surely has production staff to prep files for printing. Just send them what you have and pay them for the time to assess and prepare your file.

It likely will save you time and money in the end.

Print mistakes can be costly.
