I would like to create a Shortcut that allows me to fully turn Bluetooth on and off. Ideally, I would like the icon to light up when it is on and go dark when it is off, like what happens when the Airplane Mode Control Panel icon is on/off. Apple's native Bluetooth icon in Control Panel does not fully turn Bluetooth off.

Can someone direct me to explicit instructions for how to create such a shortcut?

The shortcut is easy... Toggle Bluetooth, done.

The trick is the identifier... no way to do that.

All Under iOS 18.2, which comes out this week.

1) Open Shortcuts app
2) Press the + sign in the top right corner
3) select 'Controls' button, located under 'Search Actions' search bar
4) in the list that is generated, select 'Set Bluetooth' button
5) If it reads 'Turn Bluetooth On' , then click done

a new shortcut button is Now added to your shortcuts, to 'Set Bluetooth On'.
The button is a certain, unique color.
Long-press the three-dot ellipse inside the shortcut button,
to rename it, to 'Bluetooth On'

Now you can do the same 4 steps above, but with the goal of creating a shortcut to turn Bluetooth off.

So on the 5th step above, when is reads 'Turn Bluetooth On',
touch the Blue colored 'On' word
to toggle to 'Off' word, then Done.
...rename this new shortcut button, to 'Bluetooth Off'
