Not seeing the "X" when you roll-over?

Not seeing the "X" when you roll-over?

Related problem?

Every time I click the "X" icon to delete a bluetooth device, it just tries to pair with it again, does not find it, and errors out.
Earlier, tried to do it with the "ThinkPad Laser Mouse." You can see the timeout error on the first image.

Then I rolled over "mcarden's Mouse," and you can see that state in the first image as well.

Then I clicked the "X" rollover, and got the "connecting" icon state on the second image.

I have the same thing as EvanBB... but in El Capitan. Any updates or fixes found since this post?

Have you tired resetting BT...?

Turn off BT in System Preferences and then delete the two Bluetooth plists... com.apple.bluetooth

They are found in ~/Library/Preferences/By Host and Library/Preferences

Empty Trash and then reboot. This will completely reset your BT and you should then be able to add/amend your devices again.
