I put movies from my laptop to my iPhone. Under "Downloaded" in the TV App, I do not see anywhere that allows me to delete the movies. Before the TV App came out, you would click "edit" then hit the "X" to delete. Please help. Thank you.

I believe you can do it in settings. In general, storage & iCloud usage, manage storage - if you click on the TV app there you can see the individual movies. Delete them there - swipe to the left. A really dumb place to put them.

The TV app is an unbelievable mess. But here's how you do it:

For movies, click on the blue downloaded label and a pop-up appears
For tv shows, long press the episode name and a pop-up appears

Inconsistent across the app? Yup.
Any affordance? Nope.
Introducing a new gesture to iOS to delete a file when every other mechanism else is swipe and click delete or tap edit then delete? Welcome to Tim Cooke's Apple

Will the last Apple product leader turn out the lights when they leave.

What you wrote does not make sense or at least it doesn't on my iPad. What blue downloaded label? Under library there are 3 choices. Recently added, movies, and downloaded. If I click downloaded it lists all my moves but there is no place to click to delete. If I click movies the view is better, but there is not what you say. What a mess downloaded is also. It has them in alphabetical order but instead of having 4 or 5 per row with columns it is just one long row. I am not sure Apple could have designed a bigger piece of garbage to manage videos now. This looks like a 5 year old designed this.

You can't delete from the menu, you have to go to each individual piece of content

Click on the movie you want to delete.

To the right of the art under the description, it will say,. "Downloaded" in a blue bubble. Tap on that, and that will bring up the pop-up to delete.

I agree about how crappy this app is. I swear Apple execs don't use their own products anymore.

Thanks for the reply but I don't think this applies to me as these are movies I transferred from my computer to iPad. I did not download these from iTunes Store. When I click on the actual movie all I have is a blue play button to the right, below that it lists how long and the genre and then a preview window with a still of the video. This is all even though I click on "downloaded videos " in the TV when given the choice. I am simply amazed that this piece of crap got released yet I am the dummy who installed it. To the right of the art there is nothing at all and nothing below it.

This does not work for me when I click on the downloaded button. iPad Air 2. Anyone else not able to delete this way?

What about Settings-General-Storage and iCloud Usage-TV App. Can you delete from there like you can for Music? I don't have any downloaded shows at the moment to test with. All of mine are still sitting in the cloud waiting for me to watch them.

Yes, I'm able to delete that way, I just think it's ridiculous that you have to go through all that to do it. Also curious why I'm not able to delete the way others are.

on my iPhone 7 i use 3D Touch. On my iPad Air 2 i touch and hold onto the file and a remove pop up appears. Its a bit buggy as the file only gets truly wiped after flipping back into the movie List overview
