I have about 600 songs on my iphone, and I would like to pick many of them (not all of them) and delete them. I thought I should be able to do this in itunes so I could select them with a mouse and delete them. So I connect my phone to my PC, go into itunes but the delete key does nothing and the "Song, Delete from Library" menu option is grayed out. I would like to avoid doing it on the phone because this would be cumbersome to delete each song one at a time. I tried to do this using the itunes on my Mac but it's an older mac and it doesn't want to talk to my newer iphone without doing a OS upgrade which I don't want to do. It's quite possible that I originally copied the music onto an earlier iphone long ago using itunes on the Mac, and the songs just got onto the newer iphone when I did a system restore after purchasing the new phone.

Details:
iphone Xs on IOS 13.1.2
iTunes 12.10.1.4 on a PC
I tried googling for an answer but didn't have any luck. I don't have Apple Music and I don't have any music on icloud.
Thanks!

This is the guide I used, worked like a charm. After you select the initial photo from the bottom right and swipe up to the top left corner, just hold your finger there until it scrolls up and all photos are selected then release and choose the delete button.

Then go into the recently deleted photos and delete all, there would be a button to delete them all in one shot in the recently deleted photos.

It could be smth with "One library" rule in iTunes, when you can sync music just with one computer, but not sure really. Check if you can delete tracks with iMazing trial, imo it's much better for music management than iTunes. It's on sale here for $20 if you'll decide to get it.

Thanks guys, someone at work also mentioned imazing so I'll give that a go.

This imazing is the cat's meow, thanks for recommending it Minorite. :) I can also use it to load custom mp3 message tones to my iphone which I tried to do years ago but couldn't.
