Hello everyone!
I have an iPhone 13 pro and I am struggling with the auto retouching post-processing effects that the iPhone camera applies to photos.
Is there a way to STOP this madness? I find auto sharp, denoise and hdri really annoying. In most situation photos look like a bad post-production photoshop filter.
I can clearly see, for a brief moment, the "natural photo" in the camera roll. Then, in a blink, iPhone applies those horrible fx.
Is there a way to stop this?
Please, tell me there is a way. At this time I can't but say that 13 pro, and generally speaking iPhone have the worst camera I have ever seen. And the worst part is that I know it's just the software.
My 6s had lower brightness and whatever, but at least each photo was still a decent natural shot.
Any help?
Thank you guys and have a nice day everyone! :D

The only way is to use a 3rd party camera app.
I have Hallide installed for this very reason.
Random pictures I use the built in app, when I want something specific, Hallide.

Thank you! So should I assume that most third party app don’t auto apply post fx to photos?
Thank you again

iPhone is a snapshot camera (yes even the Pro) and the cooks in the photo manipulation department at Apple tweak and twiddle with settings so the photos will look “nice” full screen on an iPhone for casual users. The manipulations don’t take pixel popping (zooming into pixels magnification) into consideration.
Think of the camera as a modern day Polaroid instant camera (set your expectations lower)
