I need to disable a connection to a server that is no longer running. If the server was active, I could go into Chooser>AppleShare, select the server, then log on, and deselect the check box that means it will be opened at system startup. The only problem is that I cannot log on to this server to deselect the check box, since it's inactive. I get prompted by 5 login dialogs for this server each time I start up. Is there another way to remove this from startup and keep my computer from trying to establish a connection each time? I'm running OS9.2. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Try going into your 'Startup Items' folder with in the System Folder and take out anything that might have to do with that server. It's a thought, not sure if you even have an alias in there but it's worth a shot.

My Startup Items folder was empty, but it was worth a shot. Thanks for the suggestion.
Someone else suggested checking in System Folder>Servers and, sure enough, there were 5 aliases of the server hanging out there. Once I deleted them, no more pesky login dialogs!
Thanks again.
