how to disable filevault?

i don't even know what's file vault and why it's taking all this time encrypt on my Macbook Air.

I try yo turn if off and it says i need to wait until it's done...

any idea how to stop it? i'm really tired of it....it's been days.

System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> FileVault, turn it off. And you can only turn it off after it's done encrypting. Just give it time.

well it's been days and still not done...does it need Wifi to do the encrypting?

It doesn't need Wifi. How big is your SSD? It should only take a couple of hours.

Try this, open a new Terminal window and then type:

diskutil cs list

It will show you the progress of the encryption process.
