Every time I put in my SD card this program pops up.

I've read countless "guides" on disabling it, but all of them involve options that don't exist because they were written for previous versions of the OS.

Every single thread on this topic, even when the OP specifies Yosemite, has people recommending fixes that are irrelevant to Yosemite! For some reason a lot of Apple users like to appear knowledgeable to the point that they'll give false info.

So how do I disable this program? Can I just delete it?

I am running 10.10.2. When Image Capture opens, in the left-hand column under "Devices," click on your SD card. There should now be a small icon in the lower-left corner of the window (at the bottom of the left-hand column). Clicking on that icon should bring up options for the action to be taken when you connect that device (my options include no application, iPhoto, Aperture, Image Capture, Preview, and AutoImporter -- you may have others, depending on what applications you have installed).

Unfortunately, I think you have to do this for each SD card that you use.

Thanks, that did it!
