How to disable this new iOS styled badges for apps? :-(

Lion uses iOS style badges on apps Dock icons.

This looks quite nice with a large dock size.

But with a small size, it looks ugly :-(

And sometimes you can't recognize clearly these new badges.
Especially the numbers inside the badges.

Is there a way to use the old red badges from Snow leopard?

Pity... i don't like them on os x :-( on iOS it is quite ok.

The old badge style was much better to recognize.

Now you have a badly scaled undefined badge with a white edge.

Agreed! The new icon is horrible in a small dock. Can't read it at all.

So i'm not alone and I don't flatter myself that they are hard to read

I'm sure there will be a hack ;-) Maybe at macthemes.net.

We have to wait.

I truly hope we can change this at some point soon, because they're not readable anymore like this.. and I don't even have my dock icons set to a very small size (just smaller than normal). Makes them useless and annoying.
