I dont want to update to iOS 17, at least for now. Can I somehow disable the update? Like before, installing apple tvOS profile

Set both to off.

Based on recent past history Apple likely won't be pushing iOS 17 for automatic install until a bit later down in the year anyways.

There's still at least one update coming for iOS 16.

Not upgrading to 17 will also automatically eliminate an upgrade to the WatchOS, so that's either a bonus or a problem, depending on how you look at it.

Yeah good call. I just turned off automatic updating on my iPhone. From early reports it looks like iOS 17 comes with a serious decrease in battery life so I don't plan to be an early adopter on this one.
Haven’t seen any battery impacts but I only installed this on my devices last week, on my ipad some days before. I didn’t install earlier than that because of battery issues reported on the watches. But the final release(s) have been fine.

Im on 13 Pro and I doubt that iOS 17 will make my phone faster, it can only make it slower
